The city of Erin has recently had an exciting and wonderful transition in its leadership. Pastor Gary Kenney, our previous Director, has transitioned into our Chaplains office and we are so glad he decided to finish his ministry of service by staying on with our staff here in Erin.

My name is Paul Garner. As the new Director I come with just as much excitement as the new leader at the Erin facility. As the former Director of our Tipton County Facility I hope to bring my experience and excitement, and join a great team. I look forward to continuing the growth and development that is going on here in Erin.

I am a person who wants to hear you and know what your concerns are, so please do not hesitate to contact me. I have also had the opportunity already to get to know the men here, and I plan to be instrumental in helping them accomplish their goals while here in the program.

Christmas in Erin!

We attended the Annual Corporate Christmas party last week and received the Stewardship Award.

We also celebrated 5 years of service from Paul Garner & 15 years of service from Pastor Gary Kenney!

Paul Garner, along with Chaplains Al Rossi & Gary Kenney, met with an absolutely wonderful ministry and established a new partnership and relationship.

They will provide constant service to our Erin facility and also the Fresh Start women’s ministry. They will provide shoes, clothing, bathing items, & toiletries for our men here at the facility and also will provide women’s clothing, shoes, personal hygiene, and toiletries along with make up items for our women’s facility.

We had 4 clients baptized at Wells Creek and gave their hearts to Jesus Christ!

The partner of the year for Safe Harbor Erin is Magnum Manufacturing. They are located in Erin TN, and they have a love for the community, our community. 

Above their love for their community is their love for our clients. And when we say our clients, we mean as a whole. Not only have they employed many men during this year, several have rolled over to work for them full time. 

Throughout the year Magnum and their team has made several donations that have helped the entire facility. They offer our men an opportunity to work while they are in the program, but offer a life afterwards as well.  It is truly a blessing to get to work with Magnum on a day in and day out basis.



It's truly a blessing to call them a partner and PARTNER OF THE YEAR FOR 2022.

Mr. McManis has been chosen as our Staff of the Quarter for his absolute selfless service to the clients here at Safe Harbor of Erin.

Every client that comes in contact with him is left with a lasting impression that he cares. He commits his personal time and resources toward making sure the clients are taken care from the time they come in the door. His day is also spent on the phone for hours communicating with concerned family members and court officials. He is a multitasker and passionate employee who does his assigned task with quality and care.

Safe Harbor of Erin is blessed to have such a peer and employee, and he is a joy to work and laugh with. Congratulations to Jeff McManis!

"I have been in and out of trouble since I was 18 years old, struggling with an addiction I didn't realize I had. In February of 2022 I failed a drug screen for my state probation officer and was violated. I managed to avoid arrest for a month and a half but was finally arrested at my home in front of my wife, kids, and parents. That brought me to my knees in shame.

A week later my dad passed away while I was in jail. After 100 days of jail the Judge offered me an 8 year sentence or complete a one year stay in a drug and alcohol program. I picked Safe Harbor of Erin.

The first two weeks were the worst but staff and clients alike talked me through it and I stayed. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made. This program has taught me so much that I never even knew about, a whole new way to look at life. It has helped me strengthen my relationship with the Lord. Without the pastoral support, the daily classes, and IOP classes I would have never made it to where my heart, mind, and soul is today."

We will be celebrating 10 years of Battle in the Saddle in 2023. Our event date is March 17 - 19, 2023 at the Agricenter Showplace Arena in Cordova, TN. We are so excited to see what God does this year and expect it to be our biggest year to date.
