Wildfire

by Breena Bard

All ages appropriate book that blends environmental issues and climate change into a serious story about the impacts of wildfires. (gr 6+)

super heros and dragon

Dungeons & Dragons

Saturday Morning Adventures v1

by David M. Boohler, Sam Maggs, & George Kambadias

Old school D&D stories full of fun and adventure stories with a hint of classic charm. (gr 7+)

pixilated face

Gleem

by Freddy Carrasco

Short story collection that tries to convey its heavier themes and context through its impeccable art. (gr 10+)

two teens floating in space

Nothing Special v1

by Katie Cook

Cozy fantasy-realism bursting with silliness and charming characters. Any fan of zany Cartoon Network shows will enjoy this. (gr 7+)

Tower of God v1

by SIU

If you wanted more complex and layered shonen characters this is one I'd recommend. I love the lore as it unfolds bit by bit revealing the history of the world (think Attack on Titan) and the progression through the tower reminds me of leveling up like in a RPG. Easy recommendation for anyone who is looking for more than a simple shonen action story. (gr 9+)

two teens and monster

The Worst Ronin

by Maggie Tokuda-Hall &

Faith Schaffer

Social Media Samurai isn't what first came to mind, but this is one of the funniest stories mashing up old school samurai's and modern tech. Can't wait to re-read this one because it was such a delight! Fans of Tokuda-Hall's Squad will enjoy this. (gr 9+)
