Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.  Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Current Mortgage Rates               My Listings              Real Estate Market Update
Hello dear friends and clients,

Fall is officially here and brought with it a dusting of snow! It's been a busy time since we last met in my newsletter. Aside from listing and selling real estate, we have been very busy at Camp Lang. To the right is a photo collage of the Festival of Flavors event that was held at our home on September 19th. Our son, Drake Doepke, owner of SakeToMe Sushi, wowed all 35 guests with an astonishing dinner. The Festival of Flavors proceeds provide scholarships for FVCC students.

Below, I have posted 3 other notable Bigfork events that will surely interest you and an article about Bob Dylan--winning the Nobel Prize! So cool! In addition, I have received great response from my Reading and Cooking features (also below). So aside from real estate, there's something for everyone in my newsletter. If you see something that a friend or a family member might enjoy, scroll to the very bottom of this email and click on Forward this email button. I love to share!

Now, let's talk about the market:  According to Kelley's Market Trends, total sales for homes on small lots are up 2% from 2015. Median price on these homes has increased nearly 10% over the year (from $193,750 to $212,500). This sets a record price for homes on small lots. Read more here.

Fall and winter can be a great time to buy a home. For your real estate or investment needs, call me.  I will gladly guide you through the process so it happens seamlessly.  As always, I thank you for your friendship, your business and for sharing thi s most beautiful place with me and my family.

Cheers, Denise

These 5 home buying myths with set your clients straight.
BOOK NOOK                                    BON APPETIT

"Reading one book is like eating one potato chip." Diane Duane

These stories in this unusual collection come from the twelve tribes of Indians that, in historic times, have lived in the present states of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. They include myths, legends, personal narratives, and historical traditions preserved by highly respected storytellers, and reveal much about the lives and beliefs of the early Indians.

These are the stories which used to be told around winter fires for the entertainment and instruction of the Indian family. The simplicity of style characterizing the narrations is truly reflective of their origins in oral literature.

I find these stories so fascinating. They give me such a great respect for our Montana lifestyle and the land and beauty that we so cherish.

Testimonial
"Wow. We knew when we selected you to represent us for the sale of our home that you would fulfill your excellent reputation as a highly professional go-getter! You did 'get 'er done' too! Thank you for working with us from the very start by listening to our wishes, then lining up a high caliber house photo shoot, promoting our home through various forms of media and keeping us updated weekly. All in all, our experience was wonderful - pleasantly 'exhausting' due to the rapid and numerous showings scheduled that made ours a most positive process. Just as you had accomplished with two of our family members previously, you both listed and sold our property and made it a lovely time. Thank you, Denise! It was really fun working with you!" Andy and Anne Miller
