As we transition to colder weather, AJE wants to make sure you have what you need to navigate education in DC. This short email has information about -

• Immunization requirements for school attendance - did you know that ONLY students in PreK3, Kindergarten, 7th and 11th grades can be excluded from school for vaccine noncompliance?

Staying Healthy this Year

Families who need to renew or reapply for Medicaid can learn about the process here, where they can access the application and what a video about the process.

Families who are looking for a place to receive vaccines should visit https://dchealth.dc.gov/immunization.

If you are confused about DC's new vaccination policies this blog post is a great resource and includes the chart below. Remember that students need to complete the Health Form annually, but only face school exclusion for vaccination non-compliance in PK-3, K, 7th and 11th grades.
