We do! Epiphany is partnering with ELCA World Hunger to raise funds for our garden and Collierville Food Pantry. If we raise $500 by December 1st, we’ll receive a $500 Daily Bread Matching Grant from ELCA World Hunger! This will help our ministry serve our neighbors – truly providing daily bread. The Word This Sunday
November 24, 2019 - Christ the King Sunday
Jeremiah’s promise of the execution of “justice and righteousness in the land” finds ironic fulfillment in the execution of Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews. It appears so utterly contradictory that the king should be crucified with the criminal. This victory appears for all the world as ignominious defeat. Yet through the gate of death our Lord opens the door to paradise.

Coming of the shepherd and righteous Branch who will execute justice

I will be exalted among the nations.  (Ps. 46:10)

Hymn to Christ, firstborn of all creation; peace through his blood

Jesus is crucified between two thieves: you will be with me in Paradise
Choir Practice for Christmas!
The choir is back! We will be practicing for Christmas every week beginning Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 9:15 am. Please contact Hector with any questions. All are welcome!
On Sunday, November 24, 2019, immediately following our 10 am worship at Schaeffer Memorial Chapel, everyone is invited to a potluck lunch with newly installed Bishop Kevin Strickland. The lunch will take place at St. Luke Lutheran Church starting at 11:30 am, with a Q&A session starting around noon. St. Luke is providing ham and rolls; all who attend are requested to bring a dish (last name starting with A-N please bring side dishes, last name starting with O-Z please bring dessert.). The Epiphany Council will meet with Bishop Strickland after the Q & A on Sunday afternoon.
