Good Monday Evening!
Are we already in June, with Father's Day just around the corner? The days are heating up, and the grills are smoking. Whether you like hot dogs, hamburgers, steak, or pork ribs, there is something to be said about cooking them on the grill. I love grilled food, but I'm ready for homemade soups and chili when fall arrives. What are your summertime favorite foods? Is it your favorite BBQ recipe, homemade ice cream, pie, potato salad, macaroni salad, or baked beans? Send me your favorite, and if you have a recipe, include it, and I'll post it in our Monday email. Let's share some summertime recipes.
Volunteer Needed
We need a volunteer for public relations. In this position, you would contact local newspapers, sponsoring congregations, and community partners for events and Activity Groups. Most of the contact can be done through email. You would need to be comfortable emailing and making phone calls. Microsoft Office experience would be beneficial. You would volunteer approximately 3 - 5 hours a month, and you can work from home. Let me know if you're interested, and we can meet to discuss this volunteer position.
Community Partner Event
Wednesday, June 7, 4:30 - 6 pm Oakley Place Meet and Greet. Email Kimberly at [email protected] to RSVP and be registered for a door prize. Oakley Place is located at 618 SW Oakley Ave, Topeka. Click here to print the flyer: Oakley Meet and Greet
Have a blessed week!
