Marilyn Grause - Featured Member
Marilyn Grause's first experience with Shepherd's Center of Topeka (SCT) was as a volunteer. A friend called and asked Marilyn if she would greet participants arriving for Adventures in Learning (AIL), and Marilyn, always ready to help a friend, agreed. As a retired teacher (Marilyn taught elementary-aged students for 37 years!), she valued education and learning, and she was delighted to learn that SCT offered both, so she became an active member of the fledgling organization. Marilyn shared that in those days, AIL was the sole activity SCT offered, with a Friday morning of seminars followed by a catered lunch when participants discussed what they'd heard that day and got to know each other. She has seen and experienced many changes at SCT since then.
