Good Monday Afternoon!
What a beautiful day it is today! I hope you have a chance to get out, but be careful with the wind. Sometimes, just a little gust can throw you off balance.
What wonderful speakers we had last week at Adventures in Learning. The Planning Committee works so hard to bring us different topics of interest. Bud and Cherie Carter presented about living off the grid on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Joe Hirsch gave an exuberant talk on Populism in Kansas, and Lynn Fast gave a very informative Lymphedema presentation. We learned a lot about Shawnee County Museums and volunteering with Mark Arganbright. Jane Owen gave a heartfelt talk on Stephen's Ministry, and Kevin McFarland always has interesting topics to discuss every Friday in News and Views. Learning, Eating, and Connecting: it doesn't get much better!
Thank you to Brewster Place for providing our wonderful refreshments and the door prize last Friday! Chris, thank you for sharing updates on Brewster Place's construction and Brewster Connect. Brewster offers a full variety of services and care for your needs and lifestyle. To learn more about Brewster Place, click here: Brewster Place
