Good Monday Evening!
Can you believe that tomorrow is Halloween? Where did the time go? Halloween is not a holiday I celebrate, but it's interesting to read about its history and how it has changed over the years. The History website has a great article: Halloween Timeline: How the Holiday Has Changed Over the Centuries. Click on the title to read more.
Roland and Karen Swanson are off to see their grandchildren and carve about 100 Jack O‘ Lanterns to decorate their kid's yard for Halloween, so, in thinking about Roland and Karen, I thought it would be fun for you to watch Steve Clark the Fastest Pumpkin Carver in the World.
It's getting to be that time of year when the temperatures start to cool, and we need to start preparing for winter weather. The National Institute on Aging's website has excellent information on cold weather safety for older adults. Click on the link and start preparing for cold weather. Cold Weather Safety NIA
Thank you to Legend at Capital Ridge and Stan Olavarria for providing our wonderful refreshments and the door prizes last Friday at Adventures in Learning! To learn more about Legend at Capital Ridge, click here: Legend at Capital Ridge
