We ARE opened!! (soft launch at the Madisonville location)

May is the dreams-come-true month for Churchill's team and many of our customers! With only less than two weeks of disruption, we were able to open up the Madisonville location for soft launch right before the Mother's Day weekend. We are thrilled to see the happy faces of our customers at the Madisonville location that were able to grab our tea gifts for mothers!

Much of hard work and thoughts that we put into the new location is now on display to our customers after we opened up the shop for soft launch on Friday 5/9. Thank you for everyone that stopped by, showed your support, and told us how anxious you were waiting for us to open up at the new location. We feel accomplished and blessed that Churchill's is serving your tea and gifting needs at the timing you need them for. For those that are planning for your first visit, click here to see the map and parking information.

While serving our customers' essential tea needs, we continue to adjust the floor layout and work on the details of the store set up. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to improve the store experience for you. I also want to thank some of you that have gone out your way to visit our Findlay Market location during the relocation to continue supporting Churchill's. And thank you to those who placed online orders and understood the couple extra business days it needed during our relocation.

Thank you for welcoming us Madionsville! We are here and we are opened! Please mark on your calendar for our special grand opening event on June 7th 10am-12pm to celebrate with us!

Tea Moment Story from our Tea Community

Meet Shannon and Zach, the groom and the bride who shared with me in person their Uni"Tea" ceremony as part of the wedding vow. I can't tell you how moved I was when I learned the significance of tea in their relationship and wedding. I asked Shannon and Zach to share the story behind their Uni"Tea" ceremony with our tea community. In their own words:

"From the very beginning, tea has been an important part of our relationship. At our first date, we started falling in love over a shared pot of White Peach Tea.

It’s possible this Uni”tea” ceremony is just an excuse for the couple to sneak a mug of tea into a busy day. True or not, making tea for each other is a consistent way that we communicated our love for one another. Zach knows that Shannon prefers black tea, without sugar, in a large mug filled to the brim. Unless of course she’s drinking iced tea in which case she likes to add so much sugar it could be bottled and sold as honey. Shannon, on the other hand, knows not to assume what tea Zach wants because his tastes change nearly hourly, but at least he’s fairly consistent in that he likes it steeped for five minutes and likes to add a little bit of sugar.

Who is making the tea largely depends on who has a cat in the lap, but this small act gives us each a chance to serve and show appreciation in turn. It is a way for us to demonstrate our love and understanding of each other, and by adding this personalized ritual into our wedding ceremony, we make a commitment to continue serving and appreciating one other to the best of our abilities."

What do you think? Tears in your eyes like me? I love hearing tea moment stories like this and learn that so many of us love tea and recognize how tea moments fill up the cup of our souls. Do you have tea moment stories you would like to share with the tea community? Please reply to my email and tell us your story!

April Showers, Bring May Flowers!

April Showers, Bring May Flowers: Here are some tea selections chosen by our team that we enjoy for this season of bouquets and celebrations, to bring the Flower Power to your Tea cup!

Chamomile & Lemongrass: An herbal blend with delightful chamomile flowers mixed with lemongrass for a lightly floral, earthy flavor and a bright citrus finish.

White Jasmine: A delicate white tea blended with aromatic jasmine petals for a calming and floral sip.

Dragon 4 Flowers Blooming: An experience on its own to watch the tea bulb bloom as it steeps, this blooming tea is a botanical arrangement of amaranth, lavender, chrysanthemum, and jasmine for an aromatic brew like no other.

Victorian Earl Grey Black Tea: It is pure black tea with a relaxing and fragrant blend of rose petals, lavender, rosemary, and oil of bergamot. A combination that balances floral with citrus bergamot creating a sip worthy of an english garden. Try it iced for an extra refreshing sip during the warmer days.
