Texas MBE Public Policy Day
The GDHCC had a good contingent of members, board members and staff go to Austin to participate in MBE Public Policy Day (February 12th) together with several other representatives from peer organizations in North Texas and from Houston.

It was a good day of getting up-to-date information on policy issues that most directly affect MBEs and of visiting one-on-one with legislators from North Texas and from Houston. Several elected officials made it a point to stop by and acknowledge our presence and participation. Among them were State Sen. Royce West, State Representatives Victoria Neave, Ana Maria Ramos, Yvonne Davis, Carl Sherman, and Ron Reynolds.
Member Orientation
On February 16th we held a luncheon to welcome our new & returning members. We showed them how to maximize their benefits through programs & services offered and encouraged them to join us at our upcoming events. WELCOME!
