Texas MBE Public Policy Day
|
The GDHCC had a good contingent of members, board members and staff go to Austin to participate in MBE Public Policy Day (February 12th) together with several other representatives from peer organizations in North Texas and from Houston.
It was a good day of getting up-to-date information on policy issues that most directly affect MBEs and of visiting one-on-one with legislators from North Texas and from Houston. Several elected officials made it a point to stop by and acknowledge our presence and participation. Among them were State Sen. Royce West, State Representatives Victoria Neave, Ana Maria Ramos, Yvonne Davis, Carl Sherman, and Ron Reynolds.
