October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and stand beside those currently fighting. Together, we raise awareness, encourage early detection, and support hope for a healthier future.

UR Community Cares is excited to introduce our NEW Connecticut Virtual Statewide Blind & Low Vision Support Group. It was created to bring people together from across Connecticut who are blind, experiencing vision loss, or supporting someone who is.

Begins Wednesday, September 9, 2026, every 2nd Wednesday of the month, 5:00–6:30 PM. Future Dates: October 14, November 11, December 9

UR Community Cares Partners with the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut and CT State Community College Manchester.

UR Community Cares is proud to partner with the National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut (NFBCT) and CT State Community College Manchester to host a community walk that brings people together in support of accessibility, inclusion, and equality for individuals who are blind or have low vision.

Location: CT State Community College Manchester - AST 1st floor Rotunda, 60 Bidwell Street, Manchester (Park in West Lot)
