This past summer and continuing into the fall, we have seen some great progress made on your new Recreation and Community Services Center.  The structural components of the exterior of the buildings is nearing completion.  Check out the time lapse video to see how far we have come since June.

Soon we will be bringing two sets of videos to you.  We will continue to monitor and record the exterior facade and finish work along with adding an inside view of the interior work being completed.

Action Before/Afterschool 

Are you looking for a part time job? Are you a college student? Parent? Grandparent? The AM Action Programs are currently seeking staff to add to our growing AM programs in the district and all are welcome to apply. Current staff is comprised of everyone from district staff to grandparents to high school students. Apply today to be a part of all the excitement!

Youth Enrichment

Looking to keep your child busy during the month of October?  The WAWM RCS Department has a variety of new programming starting this month.  Check out our new programs offered by the Little Bakers Association that will be a true treat!  Don't forget about our regular programs such as Challenge Island, Little Jragons and the legendary Red Cross Babysitting program looking to start the fall off strong.  

Adult Trips

Thank you to everyone who joined the WAWM RCS Department on Saturday, September 28th for our trip to Warrens Cranberry Fest.  The weather was gorgeous and the vendors had great finds for everyone.  If you missed out, we hope you join us for the Cranberry Fest in 2020.

The WPRA Silver Star Award Winning Mystery Trip is about to depart for the unknown destination on Saturday, October 12th.  If you are up for an adventure, want to meet new friends or just want to get out of the house, our Mystery Trip is known to be a good time!  

The WAWM RCS Department has several trips coming up.  If you're not a fan of Mysteries, we are heading to a couple of cool locations in the coming months.  The first destination is Sister Bay in Door County for their annual Fall Fest on Saturday, October 19th.  Relax on the drive and enjoy the fall colors.  
Don't forget, the WAWM RCS Department's Annual Chicago Shopping Trip is on Saturday, November 30th.  Register early to ensure your spot.

NEWS ALERT! - Adult Fitness Punch Passes are Here!

Can't make it every class of a session? Want to try out a few different classes to see what one you want to sign up for? Is your schedule unpredictable and you need the flexibility of dropping in when you can? Well, now the WAWM RCS Department is offering an Adult Fitness Punch Pass! The pass ($25 residents/$40 non-residents) is good for 5 punches and is valid for one year after the purchase date! Passes are only sold in our office at 1205 S. 70th St. Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm and Fridays from 8am-4pm. A waiver form must be read and signed by all cardholders at the time of purchase. Please also note that you'll need to call our office before attending a class to make sure it is accepting passes and that it has not been moved or cancelled. If a class reaches full enrollment with registrations, passes will only be accepted on a space by space basis. Come on in and get your Adult Fitness Punch Pass and stop in to those classes you've been wanting to try!
