Palm Project’s Inaugural Year makes a Big Impact in Baldwin County Schools

Palm Project, the Baldwin County Education Coalition’s newest initiative to engage the Baldwin County community in meeting the tangible needs of students wrapped up an inaugural year of service with an impact that will not soon be forgotten.

“This program has been instrumental in helping me as a school counselor meet the needs of our students,” said Tomica Wiggins, Counselor at Magnolia School. “I cannot thank you enough for all that you are doing to support our schools.”

The Leadership Baldwin County Class of 2023 chose the Baldwin County Education Coalition's latest initiative, Palm Project, as the beneficiary of funds raised at the annual Clays for A's clay shoot event.

Members of the Leadership Baldwin Class of 2023 presented $12,610 to Coalition Executive Director, Terry Burkle, during their graduation event in May.

These proceeds will directly benefit Palm Project. Palm Project is an initiative through the Baldwin County Education Coalition to provide any necessary items needed for Baldwin County students. Palm Project works with counselors at each Baldwin County public school to help stock care closets on each campus.

The 2023 GRIT Conference will take place July 17th - 19th at Fairhope Middle School in Fairhope Alabama.

GRITC is the premiere conference on the Gulf Coast for teachers to learn innovative teaching strategies and share ideas that work.

With nationally renowned speakers, over 75 presenters, and 100's of attendees, there is something at GRITC for all teachers and administrators of every grade level and every content area.

GRITC sessions are small, interactive and hands-on. They provide teaching and learning strategies that are proven to work in the classroom. Each session is limited to 25 participants to make sure you can interact with the presenters and share ideas with colleagues
