Patches
Below are the patches that were awarded last year. Riders on the 2021 tour who did not ride on the tour last year who submitted 25 or more qualifying pictures will receive the logo patch and the bottom path. Riders who rode on the tour last year and submitted 25 or more qualifying pictures this year will receive the bottom patch (as they already have the logo patch).

After the tour closes and I get the final count of qualifying riders, I'll place an order for patches. I plan to mail them out before January 1, 2022.

Gold Wing Riders Finish Tour
Article contributed by Tom Hendricks:

Today (Nov. 7th) was a milestone day for some hearty Riders of Chapter U, Texas District, Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), riding out of San Antonio, Texas.

They completed the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas, which consisted of 50 tour stops throughout the state of Texas.

The enclosed picture was the final tour stop for the Chapter U folks and is of an anchor blown a mile from an explosion in Texas City, Texas in 1947.
From left to right they are Scott Hay, Helen Smith, Debbie Hay, Pat Wall, Ron Perry and Tom Hendricks. Ed Smith took the picture. Five of the six people in the attached picture made it to at least 25 of the tour stops to qualify as Tour Finishers.  In addition, Scott Hay, Debbie Hay, Pat Wall, and Ron Perry completed all 50 tour stops. Rolando and Maria Morales, another Chapter U couple also completed 50 tour stops on an earlier date.

Completion of this tour took some involvement and preparation and a fair amount of time seeing the sights of Texas included in the tour. We had numerous journeys to tour stops close to home and took two extended trips of 3-4 days to pick up tour stops in the western portion and the Central and Eastern portions of Texas. Good time with great riding companions!! We are looking forward to doing this again next year as part of the 2022 Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas.

Riders Who Made All 50 Stops
Riders who make 25 or more of the stops are considered tour finishers and receive a patch identifying them as Tour Finishers.

However, there are always some riders who make it to all 50 tour stops! Those riders are recognized here and will receive a patch indicating that they are 50 Stop Tour Finishers.

Below is the list of riders who made all 50 tour stops (as of Nov. 11, 2021):
