We've been in our new home for just over a month and things are starting to settle. More of you have seen the new digs and have practiced in the new studio and we're happy to hear that you like it! 

I'd like to extend a personal thank you, to all of you who've made Poser YOGA your Yoga Home. Your presence (even when you're not physically there) continues to bind us together, and I'm so proud to know we have a place where we can join each other in
commUNITY. Our walls offer support and acceptance, without fear of judgement or scrutiny. We get to show up, no matter how we feel or look, and know that through the transformation of Yoga, we'll likely leave the room feeling better than when we arrived. Yoga isn't a fad or a novelty. Yoga is a lifestyle. On an off the mat, we can continue to find grace, understanding and compassion, for ourselves and for others. One breath at a time. I've come to rely on my Yoga practice, especially at times when I feel heightened emotion or physical stress. I long for my mat, and I know that as soon as I take that time for myself, I'm soon feeling more balanced, and more 'myself'. 

We've got a great promotion going on right now, and it ends tomorrow. Also, some events this month that you're not going to want to miss out on, plus photos from what we were up to in October. And, as always, Tracy offers some words of wisdom. (Thank you Tracy, for your articles every month. Your writing is light-hearted, witty, and so on point. You manage to speak to so many of us!)

I wish you all a great Thanksgiving!! I hope you're surrounded by loved ones and you take the time to reflect on what brings you happiness and fulfillment.

Please come join us for a group meditation guided by Brooke, this  Friday, November 18th at 5:00pm  to help raise our community's collective awareness towards more love, compassion, and acceptance for each other.  No experience is required, ALL are welcome...the only requisite is that you come with open mind, open heart, and a willingness to shift our collective consciousness to one that promotes more love, tolerance, and unity for each other and our world.  The cost is free to all; donations will be accepted and applied to the studio's Karma charity.  Come just for the meditation, or stay perhaps for our Karma Community class at  5:30pm

We're always delighted when Jenn Noble is in town! The room is going to fill fast, so save your spot ahead of time if you can. The Yoga class will be an hour, with a 30 minute Kirtan to follow. Donations to our current charity will be accepted. All levels are welcomed.

YOGI BOOK CLUB
In an effort to increase our sense of community and bring meaning to the idea of Yoga on AND off the mat, we would like to propose the idea of starting a Yogi book club. Book Club would be a safe place for our Yogis to explore Yoga philosophy, share insights on how to incorporate Yoga into our daily lives, and exchange books that have been valuable to our journeys. Please reach out to Megan Monds if you might like to participate so we can gauge interest!



KIDS' HIP HOP
Kids Hip Hop has been a HUGE success so far! With close to 20 kids registered, every Friday we have a blast! This is a 6-week progressive class, but in the new year, we'll be offering kids' drop-in classes every Saturday! We'll alternate Yoga and Hip Hop, with two age groups. More details to come!



HALLOWEEN YOGA GLOW
We had an AWESOME turnout for our first Yoga Glow event! We decorated ourselves with UV paints, neon clothing, and glowstick jewelry, and we piled into a dark studio for a sweaty, strong, rockin' Yoga jam! We definitely want to do this again, so if you missed out, you'll want to make sure you catch the next one! Maybe a New Year's Eve event?? (Click on the photo to see more!!)




ZOMBIE THRILLER FLASH MOB
Every year the crowds get larger as they wait with anticipation to see Zombies emerge from the shadows! Excellent costuming and rehearsed dancers made for the BEST Zombie mob so far! If you've been wanting to join us but feel nervous and shy, next year will be YOUR year! You'll just have to wait 350 days or so! (That should be plenty of time to work up the courage?!?!) A big thank you to all our locations for not kicking us out when we showed up with our speakers and scary faces!! Click on the image to see more photos and to watch video footage!!


BEERGA at Barhop!

Join us at Barhop for a fun Yoga flow and stick around afterwards for a refreshing adult beverage!

The next one is Sunday, December 4th
Doors open at 10:30AM, class is at 11AM
$15/person (includes one pint of Barhop's craft beer or a mimosa!)

Blue Yoga Mat
'SO HOW WAS THAT OCTOBER CHALLENGE?'

For the month of October, I had decided to challenge myself to practice yoga every day for the entire month. I wasn't really sure how it was going to go, and if I would be able to do it, so here are the results of my personal challenge. It went two ways; good, and could-be-better. Let's look at the good first.
From my perspective, I did pretty well. Although I didn't practice every single day, I did make it to the mat nine times. Whoa, you say - nine times in a month that has thirty-one days? That nine days is actually up from the September's four times. Another way to look at those nine days is that I actually practiced at least two times a week. And honestly, I can live with that. Yoga nicely compliments the other physical things I do, which are kickboxing fitness, as well as walking... (Read More)

This class is for Mamas and their wee babies, 12 months and younger. Rebuild strength, bond with other moms + babies, and learn some fun, Yoga poses you can practice with your bundle of joy! This class was offered as a progressiv e class in the past. It's now a regular class on our drop-in schedule, so share this news with your Mama friends and come give this class a try!



ADULT HIP HOP
Wednesdays 
7PM

No dance experience is needed. Come and have fun, break a sweat, learn some sweet moves and make new friends! You'll leave with a perma-grin!




ALL AGES YOGA FLOW
Sundays 
10AM
This class is taught just like our other classes, the only difference is that our younger Yogis are invited to attend. No games, no family partnering situations, no noisy children running around - just yoga! Anyone who wants to practice is welcome!   


FIT FLOW
Wednesdays 
530AM

This is a Yoga inspired class. You will see touches of Yoga, and Pilates, plus HIIT (high intensity, interval training) to bring a cardio aspect to your practice. Specific, repetitive movements will train your muscles and give them an opportunity to get into poses that might not be attainable just yet. You will definitely get your sweat on, and with Sara's silly, quirky personality... expect to have a giggle or two!!
