Dear Families,

We hope you're having a restful and refreshing summer! While we all are wishing summer would never end, school begins in a little over a month, so we wanted to share some updates as we approach the new school year.

PTO Mission Statement

Throughout July, we have been busy transitioning to our previously announced townwide PTO structure, planning new fundraisers, and preparing for our favorite back-to-school and early fall events. As part of the revised PTO structure, we have also updated the PTO Mission Statement.

We look forward to achieving the PTO mission with your help!

We are seeking volunteers and donations of multiple varieties for the below quickly approaching events:

Kids Color Run

Shake off the back to school nerves at the PTO Color Run on Sunday, August 27th! The new FUNdraiser is for PreK-5 students but there will be fun activities for the whole family! Rain or shine - put on your googles and white shirt, run the Placentino loop and celebrate with a refreshing KONA ice!

Picture Day Coordinator

The Picture Day Coordinator manages the school picture vendor selection, planning, and day-of coordination process. This person will work with Karla Alfred this year and will take over the position going forward.

Fundraising Committee

The PTO Fundraising Committee is continuously seeking additional members to help brainstorm, plan, and execute fundraising initiatives.

Kindergarten Families: Save These Dates!

Kindergarten Meet Ups return this August! Each class will have a 30 minute slot to play with their soon-to-be classmates on the Placentino Playground. Schedules will be provided in late August once the class assignments have been announced.

Kindergarten Parents & Guardians: Stop by Blair Square for coffee & conversation with the PTO! We're happy to answer any questions & to support you on this big day while you connect with other families. Younger siblings not in school yet? We get it - bring them! Snacks provided!
