Thank you for contacting my office. You are receiving this email because you've written to me since I was sworn in to the Louisiana House of Representatives in January 2020. The purpose of this email is to encourage you, my District 91 constituents, to respond to a survey on pending legislation that was sent to you recently by mail. If you have not received the survey or haven't responded yet, you can take the survey at this link.

2020 was a tough year for Louisiana. We are not out of danger yet, but thanks to good leadership and caring residents, we are close. I am so proud of New Orleans for its concern and compassion in the face of this serious epidemic.

The state legislature will convene for the 2021 session on Monday, April 12, 2021, in Baton Rouge. It will end by June 10, 2021. As this year is a "fiscal session" much of the focus will be on tax/budget/financial issues, although there will be plenty to discuss on a variety of topics.

If you'd like to learn more about a bill, you can start your research at this link. Bills introduced this year can be searched by author, number, committee, or even by word search. I made a short video that shows how to find a bill on the legislature's website. All committee hearings are shown live as well; video links are posted with the daily agenda once session begins. You are always welcome to testify in person at the legislature in support of or in opposition to proposed legislation, and I am happy to help you make arrangements to do so.

Day of Service: Sock Drive

At the end of 2020/beginning of 2021, we hosted a sock drive for local shelters and were able to donate thousands of socks in all sizes to our neighbors in need.
