Almost 3,000 people now have a home with ACOF because of your support. This winter, ACOF will open three new buildings providing another 218 apartments for formerly homeless individuals and families, including for older adults and veterans. As an ally of A Community of Friends, you know the positive impacts an affordable home connected to services can have for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and affected by mental illness.

ACOF is built on a culture of giving. Our Tenant Advisory Council gives their time, expertise, and lived experience to guide ACOF decision-making and build community across ACOF’s 47 buildings. Volunteers and interns each year give more than 4,000 tutoring and mentoring sessions for the hundreds of kids who live in ACOF family buildings, as well as build gardens, create lending libraries, and more. A team effort of staff and donors provides Welcome Home Kits to new ACOF tenants, ensuring people are set up with the necessities to help make an apartment into a home. Nonprofit partners donate ‘dress for success’ makeovers to ACOF tenants preparing to reenter the workforce, and provide free essential veterinary care through our pet wellness program.
You are part of ACOF's giving community, and we're grateful that you're by our side. Your donation this season will continue to power our work. Some people choose to give to ACOF from their IRA or Donor-Advised Fund to see even larger tax savings, and others access employee matching programs to have their employer double or triple the value of their gift.
Join us in our mission to end homelessness with a gift this holiday season, and bring hope, certainty, and opportunity to the many people who call ACOF home.
