GIVE HOPE AND A HOME TODAYπŸ’™

ACOF's work is rooted in community - the sense of community that is created in our buildings and our commitment to engaging with communities where we work.

Donors like you power ACOF's mission and directly impact the people in our buildings in a tangible way. Year-end contributions make a meaningful difference in our communities and give hope and a home to our tenants who strive everyday to stay stable in housing.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, Boyle Heights is a community with deep cultural roots and a rich history. When ACOF proposed the Lorena Plaza project, it was always our intent to incorporate public art into the development. ACOF partnered with the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council to achieve this goal. The collaboration resulted in the selection of local artist Fabian Debora whose mural is a celebration of the diverse community of Boyle Heights.

"It's inspiring to see Boyle Heights' rich history depicted by local artist, Fabian Debora," said project manager Anna Kobara. "We were so pleased that Fabian paid tribute to and celebrated all the historical aspects of the community in the mural. Fabian has been a great partner to work with and we could not be happier with how the mural turned out".

Lorena Plaza will welcome tenants into their new home in early January. As a 100% affordable housing development, 32 apartments will be reserved for households that have experienced homelessness, 16 units for low-income families, and one apartment for the on-site property manager. Tenants will have access to a range of supportive services, and enjoy amenities that build community and foster wellbeing.

Thank you for your support in helping ACOF develop permanent supportive housing that celebrates the people, creativity, and cultures of the communities we serve. Join us in our efforts and make an impact on your community today by giving an end of year donation.
