Who the Essentials Drive Helps

Megan is a single mom that has been assisted in identifying housing through Crossroads Community Ministries program. She expressed, "You don't know how much this means to me! It is heartbreaking to hear my baby crying because of rashes from having to wear a dirty diaper. God bless you! Many thanks to all of those who made this donation possible! You have made a positive impact on the lives of those in greatest need!".

Construction Update

Breakthru House is progressing nicely towards completion with final grading, flooring, deck railings and metal roofing finished last week and sidewalk concrete pour slated for completion this week.

Thanks to the leadership of HomeAid Builder Captain Taylor Morrison, we’re excited to celebrate the completion of this project on April 23, adding 24 beds for women and their children in recovery.

Care Day with Eastwood Homes and Varium Construction Group

On March 6, volunteers from Eastwood Homes and Varium Construction Group completed a Care Day at The Drake House in Roswell. Tasks included tearing down and rebuilding a fence, interior painting, installing new closet doors, pressure washing exterior areas, and rebuilding a mailbox cover.

Partners in Action with Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home, Shaw Floors, and Sherwin-Williams

Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home and Shaw Floors donated flooring, and Sherwin-Williams donated paint for House of Dawn in Hampton. Together, these donations are transforming a mobile home into a brighter, more welcoming space for a family in the affordable housing program to enjoy.

CareKits with David Weekley Homes

David Weekley Homes sponsored a HomeAid CareKit Assembly on March 11. The 500 hygiene kits were distributed to Ministries of Grace, supporting families as they move from food insecurity toward a more stable future.

HomeAid National Leadership Conference

Mandy and Karen recently attended HomeAid’s 2026 National Leadership Conference, hosted by HomeAid Hawaii. The event brought together leaders from 20 HomeAid affiliates across 17 states.

We’re grateful for the chance to connect with fellow HomeAid affiliates to strengthen our collective impact as we work toward building a future without homelessness.

HomeAid Supporter Spotlight: McMichael & Gray, PC

Since 2018, McMichael & Gray, PC has been a dedicated supporter of HomeAid Georgia. The team has participated in 12 Care Days, contributed as an Annual Giving partner for seven consecutive years, and sponsored several fundraising events. Randy McMichael, co-founder of McMichael & Gray, PC and HomeAid Board Member expressed, “We support HomeAid because we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. Being part of this work means using our resources and experience to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most."

In total, the McMichael & Gray team has contributed more than $124,000 in donations and over 308 volunteer hours towards HomeAid's mission.

Since 2006, McMichael & Gray, PC has guided homebuyers, builders, lenders, investors, and brokers through complex residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout their southeast offices, combining expertise, technology, and a people-first approach.
