Greetings!
In Camden, too many children are entering the next school year already behind, struggling to read at grade level, and lacking access to hands-on STEM learning opportunities over the summer.
Summer learning loss can set students back 2-3 months, widening the learning gap even further! Literacy is at the foundation of learning and is key to rising out of poverty.
Each summer, our scholars in Camden, NJ, are immersed in STEM through hands-on learning experiences.
Our scholars move:

"From limited exposure TO hands-on STEM exploration"
"From Summer setback TO academic momentum"
Our aim is to boost children's literacy and STEM learning, improve their self-esteem, and provide them with opportunities for social action through our six-week summer Freedom School in Camden.
The program empowers our children ("scholars") to believe in their potential to make a difference in their families, communities, and the world through hope and education!!
