A Message from the Future CRC Truck
I heard that Community Resource Center's truck needs to be replaced ... and I want to help CRC! Their truck often breaks down, and they need a reliable replacement truck to continue collecting donated food, helping shelter residents move into independent housing and more.

Our Volunteers are the Best!
On May 3rd, we hosted a Volunteer Appreciation Event for our many amazing volunteers at Union Cowork - complete with live music, fun games, tacos and a donut wall! Thank you to those who were able to attend. Check out the video, made by CRC Volunteer Chris Meyer to show at the event. It highlights some of the great programs that CRC runs as well as the impact of our volunteers.

Host a Summer Food Drive
1 in 5 children in San Diego struggle with food insecurity.

Families who rely on free and reduced lunch during the school year often struggle in the summer months to receive the nutrition and the food that they need. CRC distributes food and personal care items to more than 400 families and individuals each month. You can help keep our shelves stocked during this crucial season by donating items or hosting your own drive!

Mother's Day at Carol's House
The children in our shelter were happy to show their love and appreciation for mom this Mother’s Day! The kids picked from a selection of purses, scarves, makeup, jewelry, chocolates and more to put together the perfect gift. Thank you to the Encinitas Coastal Rotary Club, Newcomers group and volunteer Sue Dowd for donating items and making this possible.
17,000 Pounds of Food Collected
During Stamp Out Hunger
We received a generous donation of non-perishable food on Saturday, May 12, collected by the Postal Carriers at the Encinitas and Solana Beach Post Offices! All food goes to help support families and individuals struggling with food insecurity in our community.  Thank you to the Postal Carriers, those who donated food, and the nearly 50 volunteers who helped sort food!
