What is a swing state? A place where dreams have been building up for years, and are teetering on that tipping point, just aching to blossom into reality.
These are the fertile battlegrounds where we do our work.
We are recruiters of dreamers! Bold as love, we talk to people face-to-face, voice-to-voice, or by text, social media, or postcard… and make ourselves vulnerable. By wearing liberal-looking t-shirts and hats and pins, by using positive, progressive language, we show people what it looks like to be proud of what you believe in.
We lead by example – by being brave enough to share our dreams with strangers.
That’s how we find fellow dreamers.
And when we do, we plant their dreams in the soil of action, by registering them to vote.
We water them with voter education, keep them warm with more contacts, and when Election Day comes, we harvest a bumper crop of new progressive voters and claim that state for dreamers.
How can there not be joy in work so beautiful?

WISCONSIN'S SUPREME IMPORTANCE
The GOP gerrymandered control of Wisconsin, and the state Supreme Court upheld those obviously unfair district maps. But now one crucial seat is opening up on the bench.
With the April 4th election, we have a chance to flip the court's majority from conservative to liberal – and restore democracy to this key battleground state. This is a big one, and we need all hands on deck. Here are a bunch of ways you can help out:

WI Phone Banks – starting this Friday, and continuing every Friday all the way until the election, you can phone bank to likely voters in WI. Join the event any time, and you don't even have to stay for the whole thing. Plus, we'll train you! So come make calls when you can on Friday January 13 at 12 p PT / 2p CT. Sign up HERE.

BIGGER THAN ROE: WE MARCH TOGETHER!
January 22, 2023 is the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, and while we mourn the loss of nearly 50 years of constitutional protections, we will not be complacent. We will fight back in every state house and legislature, and we will put all politicians at every level of government on notice: if you come for our families, our freedoms, or our future, we will come for your seat.
This movement is strong. This movement is growing. This movement is bigger than Roe. And on Sunday, January 22, let's prove it – by joining the Women’s March in cities across the country. There has never been a national event on par with Netroots Nation or the America Votes Summit, but dedicated specifically to exploring partisan voter registration.

Field Team 6 is putting together the first-ever Register Democrats Summit on March 16, 2023.
Field Team 6 will host a day-long Zoom extravaganza of keynote speakers, panels with politicos, vendor demonstrations, grants, prizes and giveaways, and, in various cities, in-person happy hours. Special Guests to be announced soon! This first-of-its-kind event will be free to activists and partner organizations.
