City of San Diego LDC Update

We are requesting that our membership review the recently released list of upcoming land development code update items so that we may bring our expertise to our advocacy efforts. The list, at just over 140 items, includes updates to complete communities, alignment with recently passed state laws, affordable housing, parking, and other things. Please keep in mind as you review that the full language has not been released yet, so this is a draft list. If you identify any items that would have significant impact to your work, please let Stefanie Benvenuto know.

Oceanside Tenant Protection Ordinance

The City of Oceanside is considering a new Tenant Protection Ordinance and possibly a rent stabilization program Wednesday evening. The BIA has joined a coalition of partners to oppose these proposals. 

BIAPAC Fundraiser

Last week our BIA Political Action Committee's (PAC) Board of Governors held their annual fundraiser at Coasterra's Harbor Float. Elected officials, sponsors, and attendees enjoyed an evening of conversation and networking while enjoying the beautiful outdoor views of the San Diego skyline.
