President's Message

March employment data was released last Friday and in summary, the news was very positive. “The March 2021 jobs report showed the U.S. economy added 916,000 jobs last month,” which was the best performance since August of 2020, according to a market story on CNBC. Leading the recovery was hiring in the leisure and hospitality sector, followed by other sectors, like construction, which posted strong gains as warmer weather traditionally ushers in greater activity. Day one features a half-day of virtual, policy education workshops. On day two, you will put your advocacy skills to work and meet your organization's state senator and representative. Every organization is different and legislators need to know how legislation will affect your small business. You will have the chance to talk about your organization and why it is unique.
