Today, civic participation occurs at many levels. We make impactful decisions about our community every time we make a purchase, vote, post on social media and, of course, volunteer. We think any awareness we can bring to the many resources that might spur individual action for good, falls right in line with what we’re up to at HandsOn.

Home Depot Salt Lake City Project

The HandsOn team took a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah to assist the Home Depot Foundation to makeover supportive housing for veterans and individuals with disabilities from the Housing Authority of Salt Lake.

We enjoyed managing the decor department volunteers that painted hallways, hung decor, assembled lounge furniture, painted murals, constructed coffee tables, organized food pantries, built children's playhouses, remodeled community gyms, and so much more.

A huge thank you to everyone that participated and had a hand in making this transformative project so successful!

Take your work and life experience into some of the most under resourced schools in the Valley. YEC is a dynamic academic mentoring program that places volunteers in K-8 classrooms to support students in literacy, math, and/or science.

HandsOn History

For over 20 years we have been partnering with The Home Depot Foundation to assist veterans in our community. Locally, we work with store associates to improve veterans' homes through the Veteran Assistance Program. In addition, we have worked together to facilitate large scale projects to build capacity for nonprofits who have the mission to improve veteran lives. Thank you to The Home Depot for years of our cherished partnership!
