CONTACT YOUR LOCAL CITY COUNCIL MEMBER
AND LET THEM KNOW YOU NEED THEIR HELP
TO SUPPORT THE ARTS IN YOUR SCHOOL

 CASA Teachers Change Lives

Dear Arts Partner,

Young Audiences New York (YOU 024) wants to work with you to provide arts education for your students as part of the Cultural After School Adventures (CASA) program.

Each member of the City Council can select up to five schools to participate in the CASA program, so we hope you will reach out to your local council member and let them know that you think that arts programs are an important part of your curriculum.

Through CASA in 2011, we were able to serve 280 students and engage an additional 785 family members, teachers and administrators at six NYC public schools. Students who participated in CASA programs were visibly more engaged and successful in core subject areas. They also learned valuable lessons about self-confidence, team work, cultural awareness and commitment that will stay with them as they continue their education and grow into young adulthood.

yaNY is in the process of sending out information packets to all New York City Council Members. CLICK HERE to view those materials in pdf form so you can see the large spectrum of programming being offered to your students. For more information about Young Audiences New York or to see how you can better engage your council member to participate in this program, please contact Eve Wolff, Director of Programming, at ewolff@yany.org or at 212-319-2846.

We hope you can participate in this great opportunity.

Sincerely,

Ens Ensemble
