How many ways can you say “walk”? Audio describers think about words all the time—describers use words to convey the visual images of media, the arts, museums and so much more for people who are blind or have low vision.
The mission of the ACB’s Audio Description Project is all about the development and promotion of audio description world-wide but especially in the United States—check out our website:
www.acb.org/adp
. In addition to the website and its copious quantities of information about audio description, we sponsor the biennial Audio Description Project Conference, the annual Audio Description Awards, the biannual Audio Description Institute, the BADIE contest (Benefits of Audio Description in Education—prizes to blind kids in recognition of their reviews audio described media) and much more!
But it all requires financial support! So please support “The Describers” our team taking part in the 2020 ACB Brenda Dillon Memorial Walk in July. Support the Audio Description Project by sponsoring us as we walk, sashay, leap, march, saunter, stumble, step, stride, stroll, ambulate, perambulate and promenade!
