Oklahoma Alliance for Animals

Important Announcement:

Please Help Tornado Animals

Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is in contact with our friends at Central Oklahoma Humane Society and other organizations caring for the animals rescued from the devastating tornadoes in Moore and central Oklahoma.  The number of displaced animals is already large and will continue to grow over the next several days.

At this time, there are two ways you can help:

1.  Drop off donations* of pet food and supplies at the OAA office starting tomorrow.  These will go to the care of the rescued animals and also to supply the food bank for those families affected. Help fill the "Wheels of Hope" van for these precious pets in need. The OAA office will be open for donations from 10 am to 6 pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 22-24. See below for a partial list of needed items.*

UPDATE:  You can also deliver donations to Pooches, 5331 E 41st, between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

2.  Make a monetary donation to help with veterinary care and other needs.  Supplies are essential, but always in a time of crisis we hear that the greatest need is for money to meet unanticipated costs.

Many of the animals being rescued are injured.  Although several veterinarians are generously donating their services, the costs for caring for so many animals can be staggering.

Make an online donation to OAA and please designate that your gift is for tornado animals.  We will be sure that your donation reaches the organizations caring for those pets in need.

If you prefer, you may drop off monetary donations at the office or mail to:

Oklahoma Alliance for Animals
1822 E. 15th Street, Suite B
