Did you know that nearly three million people in Texas live with one or more disabilities? Every year Disability Rights Texas helps thousands of children, women and men with disabilities through direct case services, short-term assistance or public education seminars.
A typical year includes:
- More than 8,000 calls requesting our services
- About 4,000 active cases
- Nearly 3,000 cases concluded
- Greater than 18,000 resource handouts distributed
- 200 plus education and training sessions held for more than 15,000 attendees
- 28,000 downloads of our website resources or clicks on links to other websites
Though we are able to help many people each year in a variety of ways, we still are unable to assist thousands who call due to declining federal funding. But YOU can change that.
