Make Calls From Your Home Nov. 1st - 6th

On next Tuesday, November 7th, Ohio faces a critical vote on an extreme pro-abortion measure, known as Issue 1, that would legalize painful late-term abortions to the moment of birth! It is critical for the pro-life movement across the nation that Issue 1 is defeated!

Would you please spend time between now and next Tuesday to make phone calls to Ohio residents from your home?

In case you are worried, please know that the sophisticated system used does not display your number. Also, the system calls the pre-loaded numbers for you and gives you a simple survey-type script to use.

We are partnering with pro-life groups in Ohio to help them defeat Issue 1 by sponsoring a Call-a-Thon from today through Monday Nov. 6th and we need your help making calls. It is so easy - you can call from the comfort of your home at your convenience between 8 AM and 8 PM CST. You can also join our team at our New Orleans headquarters at the times below when we will be making calls together!

Please consider devoting 30 minutes or more out of your day until Nov. 7. The measure is so extreme that Ohio's pro-abortion leaning paper, The Toledo Blade, advised Ohioans to vote against it. Their editorial team wrote, "The Blade has always supported women's right to abortion. This amendment to the state constitution goes too far and should be defeated."

Our New Orleans office, located at 200 Allen Toussaint Blvd., will be open for team calling on this Friday, Nov. 3rd, from 10am-4pm, and Monday, Nov. 6th from 10am-7pm. Just drop by!

Happy National Adoption Month! We look forward to highlighting adoption stories throughout the month of November. Many of us have been impacted by adoption, and our speaker for our 2024 Proudly Pro-Life Gala on January 13th this year is one of them!

Jim Caviezel has adopted three children from Chinese orphanages and speaks often on how adoption has changed his life. At the time of their adoption, two of his children were diagnosed with large brain tumors, yet Caviezel resisted his fear and embraced love.

Caviezel told the Catholic Digest regarding one of his adopted children upon meeting: “I saw his eyes and in my heart I heard this boy calling to me, saying, ‘Will you love me?"

We are honored and excited that he will be sharing his pro-life story in person with all of us. You can join us as a "Lover of Life" Patron or above to meet and take a photo with Jim Caviezel!

Also, please share your thoughts about bus transportation to & from the Proudly Pro-Life Gala! Since 2020, Louisiana Right to Life has been pleased to offer bus transportation to a limited number of patrons to & from Metairie and the Proudly Pro-Life Gala thanks to the generosity of Gray Line New Orleans.

We are considering offering more bus transportation options to those who reside across Southeast Louisiana to help with New Orleans night-time traffic conditions and encourage more guests to attend our Gala who perhaps could not attend before due to the long drive!

Students can still register for our Fall Pulse Immersion! The next one is coming up this Saturday in New Orleans on Nov. 4th! The event will be at St. Pius X in New Orleans and features our Adoption Education Sarah Zagorski for National Adoption Month. Sarah was adopted at the age of nine after nearly eight years in Louisiana's Foster Care System.

We are also excited to announce that Louisiana Right to Life has brought on a new College Director, Harlee Barbier! Harlee is a 23-year-old pro-life advocate and recent graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University. At Southeastern, Harlee founded their on campus pro-life organization, Southeastern's Students for Life. In her free time you can find her volunteering in her community or focusing on her community organization she runs, Live to Love for Life.

We are having a blast at the state fair in Shreveport, Louisiana! The fair will close on November 12th but please stop by the Louisiana Right to Life table to learn more about our outreach across the state.
