After years of talks, collaboration, and forging new partnerships, the pieces are finally coming into place. Reforms on the horizon:

  • Legislation to expedite the PLUS process, while retaining its core value
  • Expediting DelDOT's issuance of temporary entrance permits for economic development projects
  • Creating an economic development liaison within state government to ensure development projects are not being delayed
  • Establishing Transportation Improvement Districts (TIDs) to provide predictability and certainty for site selectors and businesses

It all started with a conversation in a parking lot.

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry CEO Sachin Shivaram was chatting with a second-shift employee outside the WAFCO building one evening last summer when he happened to glance into the man’s car.
