Shelter Staff Reconnects with Former Guest
Guest Success Stories
Guests who are placed in temporary housing shelters stay anywhere from 3-6 months, depending on their individual situation. During that time, they get to know our staff who rotate shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Occasionally, staff are fortunate enough to be updated on their progress. A staff member at the Rosa Parks INN recalls running into a former guest years after her stay at the shelter. At the time of her stay she was displaced with three small children. She was the recipient of a donated car and said it was a blessing to her family at the time. She now has a new car and her oldest daughter graduated from college and is in nursing school. She said that everyone at the Rosa Parks INN was so kind to her and she will never forget it.
