Happy New Year!
This last month we took some time to rest, recharge, and take a few deep breaths. It's good to be together to enjoy our family, our different communities, and our home. We hope have been able to carve out a little time yourself, to look around for inspiration, and plot your course for the coming year!

And here's an invitation: We're here if you need us to address your niggling symptoms, or mounting ailments, or if you just don't want to add another drug to your daily intake, or if you need support in the more psycho-emotional realm -- or if you just need a fresh perspective on your health and vitality. Happy to see you in person or via telemedicine.
Sending warm wishes for a wonderful 2023 to you and yours,
Drs. Amy & Paul

Our 2023 Calendar:
The image on this year's calendar is Dr. Amy's artwork which she created from local flowers lovingly picked and pressed last spring. If you'd like a hard copy of the calendar, have it printed at your local copy shop. Feel free to print up a few & share. And hopefully, when we have the chance to meet in person again, in our home, at our clinic, or in a NESH class, we'll have some on hand to share!

End Mastitis Misery, with Homeopathy and Natural Medicine
By Amy Rothenberg, ND, DHANP
When I first met Perla, she was sitting in my office with tears streaming down her cheeks and nursing her four-month-old baby. Although she had breastfed her two earlier children with ease, this time she was struggling with repeated bouts of excruciating mastitis - inflammation of the breast, which often involves blocked milk ducts or infection.
Now, several months into mastitis misery, Perla felt she had tried everything to help herself but to no avail. While many women would have given up, she was determined to continue nursing her baby, though it came at enormous personal cost. Thankfully, homeopathy was able to help her.

I love to serve corn chowder with what my mother called a Famous Sandwich: toasted bread with a dab of mayo, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. You have to cut on the diagonal and if you happen to keep toothpicks with frilly tops on hand, this would be the perfect occasion to employ!
Ingredients:
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup flour – I often use rice flour or oat flour, really whatever you have on hand!
- 1 large yellow onion – chopped
- 2 red peppers cut into ½ inch pieces
- 4 ears of sweet corn – kernels removed from the cobs (about 2 cups) or one bag frozen corn
- 3 cups milk, whole cow milk most yummy, but most any kind will do!
- 1 medium white potato – peeled and diced
- 1 cup water or stock
- Salt & pepper to taste

Join us for FOUNDATIONS of HOMEOPATHY Online Course
Many of you know that we've been teaching homeopathy-one modality in our natural medicine toolbox-for decades. Most of our students are physicians or other health care providers. But we hear from providers and patients alike that you'd love a more introductory course. So we created one to answer questions like: What is homeopathy? What are the basic tools used by the homeopathic provider? How can homeopathy be used in first aid, acute and chronic illnesses?
(Here we are front of the Washington DC statue of the Samuel Hahnemann, founder of homeopathy.)
We are offering a fully online, 12 Hour Introductory Course on the history, theory, and practice of homeopathy for those who would like to learn first-hand about this gentle approach to healing. On your own time, from the comfort of your home, we hope you'll join us! Jump in when it works for you - enrollment begins on the 1st of any month. We look forward to learning with you!
