Continuing to Ship Humanitarian Aid
|
|
This week Midwest Mission received a request from North Star Foundation to fill a shipping container with Rice Meals for Ukraine. Always up for a challenge, Executive Director Chantel Corrie and Operations Manager Brad Walton pulled together a team from the staff to figure out how we could make it happen. Here is the plan:
All next week, we will welcome the public and our regular volunteers to pitch in to assemble 48,000 Rice Meal Bags at our location outside Chatham, IL. The schedule is listed above.
We will also welcome financial donations to help cover the $48,000 cost of the supplies: $1.00 pays for 1 bag which feeds 6 people. $40.00 fills a box and feeds 240 people. $1,200 sends a pallet that feeds 7,200 we need 40 pallets to fill this container.

12,000 Rice Meal Bags On Their Way to Ukraine
|
|
On Friday, April 8, 10 pallets of Rice Meals were loaded onto a truck at Midwest Mission and bound for Ukraine. A cooperative effort between Midwest Mission, Operation Ukraine, and the U.S. Military's DENTON Program have made this shipment possible.
These 10 pallets contain 12,000 Rice Meals which will feed 72,000 people.
We are thankful for our partnerships and all the Food Pack Event volunteers who assembled these Rice Meals.

- 2,240 Student Kits
- 24,000 Rice Meals
The shipment was valued at $146,240.00

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his
splendor was dressed like one of these.”
