Holding On... Open Handed

This week we begin Don’t Let Go, our generosity campaign and October sermon series. Often we think about church budgets as what does the Church need from me to fund its ministry and then we’ll decide whether we have enough to do that. When faced with the disciples fears of scarcity, Jesus asked, “What do you have?” We’ll hear how one young man’s generous response became the inspiration and blessing that provide enough to feed thousands with leftovers. How do we hold onto what’s really important when we open our hands?

When Life Does Not Go As Planned: Naming What We Have Lost

This series offers honest spirituality for disappointment, disruption, and change. A changed plan does not mean an abandoned life. Faith allows lament instead of forcing false optimism. Name your losses—then consider God’s interest in them.
