Career Navigator Newsletter Issue 1 - March 31, 2020
Newsletter to Help you Navigate Your Career during the new Normal!
Introducing the TFS Career Navigator, a weekly newsletter for job seekers, career changers and those seeking to improve their career.
We are here to help!

For the first issue, TFS staff wants to offer our help to those of you who are facing a loss of employment. Whether you ( or someone you know) has lost their job, fear that you will loose your job or want to "future-proof" your career, Tailored for Success is here for you.

Styled by You!

Although our in-person services like our Career Closet Program has been suspended, we will be hosting a series of videos on how to put together the perfect interview outfit, decode business dress codes, dress for your body type and much more! Check out our Youtube Channel and subscribe so you'll stay updated.

Resume 3.0

To prepare for the future, it makes sense to be sure your resume is formatted for maximum impact. Most of the rules for resumes are the same (i.e., free of errors, tailored to specific position) but there are new ways of making sure your resume gets noticed. We can help you with this; stay connected through our TFS FaceBook Group and TFS LinkedIn Group pages for tips, strategies and notifications of Zoom meetings for help.

Virtual Interviewing

There has always been many options for employers to conduct interviews. However, now more than ever, interviewing by phone, Skype, Zoom and other virtual platforms are the new normal. Interviewing virtually takes skill and practice but you can master it. Join our TFS FaceBook Group and TFS LinkedIn Group pages for information and times for live webinars.

Networking during COVID-19

There has never been a better time to invest in building your networking skills! You can and should be using various social media platforms; especially LinkedIn to network with others. TFS staff can help update your profiles, give you tips on engaging with people during this pandemic and show you how you can grow your network (even if you are an introvert)!
