We joined hundreds of United Way teams from 49 states in Washington, D.C. to advocate for our region and share what matters most to the Yampa Valley!

We spoke with federal leaders about:

• Coal transition job loss & new industry development

• Workforce training & skilled trades scholarships

• Childcare solutions

• A microfinance start-up program for ALICE entrepreneurs

• Wildfire preparedness funding

Thanks to Senator Hickenlooper, Senator Bennet, and Congressman Neguse's offices for listening and offering their support.

And a special shoutout to United Way Worldwide CEO Angela Williams for the inspiration and advice!
