Holiday Drive for Our Local Food Bank
Join me in helping those in our community without enough food
Hunger is a year-round problem for thousands of Contra Costa residents, but wintertime is often when people donate to charities and the less fortunate, feeling the holiday spirit.

I hope you'll join me this year in helping the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, the largest organization serving the hungry in Contra Costa, with programs for kids, seniors, families and individuals. The Food Bank, which focuses on wholesome, nutritious foods, serves about 125,000 people in Contra Costa County each month.
Love, Peace & Veggies
2015 Contra Costa "Food Fight" theme

Every year, Contra Costa County employees participate in an annual Holiday Food Fight, a good-hearted competition among county departments to raise money for the food bank. We also compete against Solano County employees to see which county can raise more money for the food bank.  Friends, family, and community members join in this drive, which has raised more than a million dollars since it started eleven years ago.

You can join the effort by making a contribution to the food bank at this time.

It's easy. Simply go to this special link, and follow the instructions all the way to the bottom.

Helping the hungry truly takes a community effort. Many thanks for giving what you can.
