Provide relief from the damage of Hurricane Helene

Multiple downed trees with a house just visible in the background
The inside of a home with a vaulted pitched ceiling. A hole has been ripped through the ceiling and pieces of the ceiling lie on the floor.

People across the southeast are still without power and are reeling from the damage.

Supplies are needed now, and the long-term clean up effort is only just beginning. We are communicating with city officials in Augusta and are on our way to Charlotte and Asheville to mobilize for cleaning up debris and damaged buildings.

Please help us provide emergency relief. Give $50 or $5 - we are asking you to join us in providing urgent aid in the region. Thank you.

The storm did not stop the Duluth Food Pantry

Last Saturday's fresh produce event at the HF Duluth was luckily unaffected by the storm, as families were counting on that food. 300 families had registered, and hundreds of pounds of fresh produce came in from our partners.

A half dozen men and women wearing blue vests over their clothes carry large cabbages and watermelons to bring to a line of cars with their trunks open.
Three volunteers wearing blue vests put cardboard boxes of food into the open trunk of a black minivan.

Fifty volunteers packaged it all into boxes and loaded up the waiting line of cars with the much needed food.

About 500 pounds of produce that remained at the end of the event was immediately packed up on Sunday and driven to Augusta for people affected by Hurricane Helene. The team also sent cases of rice and flour, shelf-stable milk, pasta, peanut butter, canned meats and vegetables, diapers, and sanitary items.

We must replenish all of these food items for the Sunday pantry clients.

Learn more and help make sure the pantry can support both regular clients and Hurricane Helene relief by coming to the Atlanta Dinner on October 12th or making a donation.

Humanity First Food Security teams are helping people every month

The Bronx volunteer team is out on the sidewalks distributing food every two weeks, even in the summer heat.

A young man in a blue vest speaks to a woman in a long skirt and white hat. Behind her in line on the sidewalk are a woman and child and an older man.
A man in a blue vest loads a large box of produce into the open trunk of a car.
People with and without blue vests stand around a folding table on a sidewalk covered in bags and boxes. One man reaches into a box on the ground next to the table while a young man in a vest stands ready to help.

Food is available through Humanity First USA in Manassas VA, Willingboro NJ, Hawthorne NJ, Old Bridge NJ, Zion IL, Hallendale Beach FL, and Fort Worth TX, in addition to Duluth GA, Bronx NY, and a new partnership to support Centre Ridge Elementary School in VA.

If someone you know needs food, look for more information on our website or reach out to us.
