We are pleased to inform you that the Diocese of Joliet has certified our parish to reopen for
Baptism, Reconciliation, Weddings, Funerals, and private prayer, with a limit of 10 attendees.
The church will be open for private prayer from 9:00 am - 12 noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday this week. Reconciliation will be from 10:30 am - 11:30 am this Saturday, June 6th.
At present, weekday and weekend Masses continue to be offered privately. We await permission from the Diocese of Joliet to reopen Mass to the public.
Volunteers Are Still Needed
We still need volunteers to assist with various aspects of our parish reopening plan. All volunteers should be 60 or younger, and free of any medical condition that would place you at greater risk for contracting the Covid-19 virus.
(Those over the age of 60 should contact Jim Susic at
to discuss volunteering.)
Please consider volunteering with one of our reopening teams. Please note that these are temporary teams, and even if you are only able to help at one weekend Mass, we would be most grateful.
- Greeting team: Duties include assisting in managing the flow of congregants as they enter the church, making sure attendees use hand sanitizer upon entering, are wearing a mask, and are reminded not to enter if ill; directing people to appropriate seating/waiting areas, etc.
- Cleaning team: Duties include maintaining and cleaning essential and high-traffic areas of the church before and after the church has been used. Masks and gloves will be provided, if you do not have your own, in addition to approved cleaning/disinfecting supplies.
