To help us weather the financial storm as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have created a new Critical Relief Fund. But we need your help!
This Tuesday, May 5th, MISO is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of unity and giving. As you may be aware, over 90 % of MISO’s Spring concert season has been cancelled or suspended due to the pandemic. To date, the projected impact on MISO has been approximately $323,000 and will continue to deepen as the emergency period is extended.
As a non-profit organization employing dozens of artists and staff members, we are doing our best to keep our artists and staff paid and with health benefits in place. But we can’t do this without you!
We are calling on our community to support us during this time of uncertainty, as our eligibility status for federal relief funds remains unknown.
Please consider donating to the MISO Critical Relief Fund on #GivingTuesdayNow (May 5th) and help us reach our goal of $50,000.
By joining this effort, you will greatly assist us in supporting those dear to us who create the wonderful music and unforgettable performances we have all come to appreciate from the Miami Symphony Orchestra.
Wishing you good health and safety,
Music Director & Conductor
