Our church has been a partner in service with the Community Assistance Center since its inception when it was called Montgomery County Emergency Assistance. We distribute our local benevolences through their office and our Identification Recovery Teams work out of their building. They also house a client select food pantry so individuals who are seeking food can choose from a small selection the food they know their family will eat.

Many families who come through are grateful for the food because it helps them spend money on things like rent and utilities. We all are experiencing increased costs this summer. Families who live on the edge of poverty are having to make greater sacrifices to make ends meet. CAC asked if we might collect household items to help these families weather the heat with greater dignity. This Sunday we will be collecting:

Laundry Detergent
Dishwashing Liquid
Toilet Paper
Paper Towels

You can sign up to donate and also to help us transport our donations to CAC on Monday (June 27) by clicking here!

Help these families have a happy and healthy summer!
