Weigh In on the Countywide Transportation Plan
Public invited to Richmond meeting on plan update
In 1995, the Contra Costa Transportation Authority adopted a countywide blueprint for transportation planning, covering all modes of getting around including roads, public transportation, bicycling, walking and ride-sharing.

The resulting Countywide Transportation Plan is partially funded by Measure J, a voter-approved 1/2-cent transportation sales tax.

This year, planning is under way for the next 25 years of Contra Costa transportation. Public comment is a vital part of the plan.

The Transportation Authority, which oversees the plan, is seeking public input through a tool on its website, KeepContraCostaMoving.net, and a series of public meetings, including one in Richmond on September 20.

I hope you'll take advantage of this opportunity to weigh in on the important transportation needs for our future.
