Greetings!
Our November pet food drive is ON! Bring your donations of pet food, or mail them to us at 916 West River Road in Brattleboro, VT. Every bag will add up to our goal and help fill hungry bellies.
This year, if we gather 1,000 pounds of donated pet food, we'll unlock a $5,000 donation from Linda and Peter Hoag to help feed hungry pets!
This incredibly generous match is inspired by their beloved dog, Caleb.
Caleb's story:
"We adopted Caleb on September 10, 2010 from WCHS. He was roughly 3 months old and brought in by someone who found him on the Dummerston covered bridge. We fostered him over Labor Day weekend, brought him back to be neutered, he went up for adoption and we couldn't let that happen.
He was a foster failure but in so many wonderful ways. We couldn't imagine our life without him. He was very personable, taught his mom so much about patience, forgiving, and unconditional love. He became his mom's copilot when traveling, her confidante, and brought a whole new meaning to her life.
Sadly Caleb passed at 11 years of age in his mom's arms. It is through this amazing little dog that Caleb's Cherubs Educational Fund, a tax-exempt nonprofit, was formed in August 2022. Caleb's Fund is all about empowering children to succeed. Individually, through teachers, and classrooms with a STEAM curriculum.
Caleb wasn't just any dog. He found his mom's heart when she needed it the most."
Thank you so much for donating pet food in November, in honor of Caleb, and all the pets who need us the most.
