Camp Joy: Joy Baptist Camp and Conference Center
Camp Joy was founded in 1962 on Whitewater Lake. It is owned by a group of Baptist churches in Wisconsin and Illinois. Our new director - John Moore - arrived from his previous work in Africa four years ago. We operate year round and draw campers local, national, and international. 

Summer camp is focused on youth (who do not bring their cell phones with them for a life-changing week). The rest of the year features a national PTSD Wounded Warrior week, a national deaf ladies week, men, women, couples, youth, and other specialty groups. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram .
Fairfield Inn & Suites Whitewater
Scheduled to open January 2020, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Whitewater will boast 83 rooms, indoor pool, business center, outdoor fire pit and the "R" Bar. In-person and phone reservations will be taken for the first 90 days; online reservations will be accepted for bookings starting in April 2020.

Customer-Service Training Event Recap
We are happy to say that the Customer Service Training with the Wisconsin Dept. of Tourism last Monday was a success! It was great to see so many people show up and offer their input and ideas. Thank you to Lacey at the SweetSpot and Wisconsin DOT's Regional Tourism Specialist, David Spiegelberg, for a great event. Binning & Dickens Receive Purple Angel
We would like to congratulate Chamber member Binning and Dickens Insurance Services on their Purple Angel recognition by The Whitewater Dementia Friendly Community Initiative (WDFCI). The Purple Angel shows that the staff have received dementia awareness training and are sensitive to customers and community members who have been affected by dementia.
RiverStone to host Dueling Pianos
Check out the newly opened RiverStone Restaurant as they once again host Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos on September 14th from 8pm-11pm. You can order tickets online now to dance the night away --better hurry, they sold out last time!
New Director and Opening Night at Young Auditorium
With the 2019-2020 season around the corner, Shannon Dozoryst has been named as the new director of the Young Auditorium. Shannon has already served 13 years at Young Auditorium, and is looking forward to strengthening their partnerships within the community. Best wishes to Shannon!

Don't miss opening night on Sept. 20--Young Auditorium members get an exclusive pre-concert party with food and refreshments in the outdoor courtyard. Then dance along as Derek Byrne and Paddygrass headline for this academic year!

UC Information Services provides an easy-to-use texting service for students and the
campus community. Any questions that you may have can be answered within minutes during our regular business hours. The Information staff can help you answer questions about lost and found, mailing, housing, and more! Text us today at (262) 458-4382.

Lost and Found
UC Information Services is the main hub for campus Lost and Found! We are the central
location for lost and found, meaning all departments bring their lost and found to the Information Desk. If you ever lose an item, stop by the Information Desk on the main floor of the University Center to check if it was turned in. If we do not have your item, we can also take down your contact information just in case it gets turned in, we will contact you.

Mailing
UC Information Services is making it easier than ever for members of the campus community to mail items! Located on the main level of the University Center, Information
Services provides all your mailing needs including envelopes, boxes, and domestic and
international stamps. We also provide USPS Priority Mailers for another mailing option.
Interdepartmental mail drop-offs are by the Information Desk as well. Already have your items packaged up and ready to go? Information Services can take your USPS and UPS letters and packages, picked up every weekday at 9:30 AM and 2:15 PM.
