Dear friends,

Many of you all either knew or knew of my younger brother Marshall Hoots. He lived in Atlanta as well, went to GA Tech, had a beautiful family and also owned a small business called Going Gear in Smyrna, GA.

He passed away last Monday at the age of 37 and it has been a horrible loss for all of us. SawHorse is a family owned and operated business. In addition to me, my father/ Marshall's dad (Mike Hoots) is our chief estimator and purchasing officer and my wife (Sheila Hoots) is our office manager. This loss has affected all of us and I know some of your were trying to get through these past couple weeks and we were not able to call back in a timely manner and I do apologize.

I loved my brother and the forums and the clients that he was apart of loved him as well. He was one of the world's leading flashlight and knife reviewers with millions of views on his youtube channel. Videos from his friends were put up announcing his death to the community and he had thousands of views in the first hours since they all knew and respected him. He was an amazing brother and even though he was younger, I looked up to him and was proud of the father that he was and how much he was admired by his customer base.

The reason that I am sharing all of this with with you is that he has 2 young children that I absolutely adore. Quinn and Cullen Hoots. Quinn is in kindergarten and Cullen is still in preschool. I set up a fund to help them when they are 18 go to college. One of his main flashlight suppliers and friends also is donating 100% of all sales on their website today to help his kids.

His store is still open in Smyrna if you want to browse all of the flashlights and outdoor gear. His staff can help you with your camping or outdoor gear needs.

The SawHorse family appreciates your support of his legacy.
Sincerely,

Matt Hoots
