Help save House Bill 1108, the Purple Paint Law,by sending a quick email today! This bill would make it easier for landowners to prohibit hunting on their property, so hunters are coming out in force to oppose it!
An important bill that would protect wildlife by making it easier and more economical for landowners to post their property as “No Hunting” is at risk of being voted down in committee.

House Bill 1108, known as the “Purple Paint Law,” would allow New Hampshire landowners to post their property against trespassing using a combination of purple paint and signs.
Although this bill was favorably received by the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee during the bill hearing, they are now receiving hundreds of emails from the hunting community, with statements such as, “This bill isn’t needed.”

We need to counteract those messages with hundreds of emails of our own!
Do this now! Send a quick email to the committee

Subject: Support for HB 1108 with Roy amendment

Dear Chairman Abbas and Members of the Committee,

I am writing to express my support for House Bill 1108, as amended, which would allow me to post my property against trespassing using a combination of purple paint and signs.

This bill would help me because... provide some reasons, such as, “my signs were taken down,” “replacing signs every year is time-consuming and expensive,” or “I don't like putting nails in my trees.”

Please vote in favor of this bill. Thank you for your consideration.

Background for House Bill 1108
More than half the states in the country have passed laws or introduced legislation to allow landowners to post their property using paint.

We created a flyer explaining how the law would work and the many advantages of using paint to mark property boundaries.

Voices of Wildlife is particularly eager to see HB 1108 become law, because making it easier for landowners to prohibit hunting is one of the most effective ways to protect wildlife.
Thank you for taking action!
